Designed to make a
difference
ZF Race Engineering's SACHS motorsport clutches have stood for top-tier quality in international racing for decades. The ambition: continuous improvement and the drive to keep pushing the limits. From the lightest clutch used in Formula 1 to proven twin-plate and multi-plate systems in WRC, DTM, NASCAR, Le Mans and the Dakar Rally - ZF Motorsport technology is a core component of many winning cars worldwide.
Clutch Disc
SACHS RCS 200 7.8
Sintered metal 7.8 mm, rigid design
The SACHS RCS 200 7.8 sintered‑pad clutch disc is the robust choice for maximum durability, consistent performance and long service life. Its 200 mm diameter delivers high torque capacity and excellent heat dissipation - ideal for endurance racing, rally and any application with sustained thermal load.
The 7.8 mm lining thickness offers a large wear reserve, clearly more material than 2.6 mm. This increases thermal capacity, smooths temperature spikes and reduces fade and warpage. The result is a stable coefficient of friction, a precise bite point and repeatable engagement even after many race starts and long stints.
Compared with 2.6 mm discs, the 7.8 mm version deliberately sacrifices the last grams of rotating mass in favour of durability and thermal security. If you prioritise a temperature-resistant, hard-wearing solution over pure sprint response, you benefit from longer service intervals and reliable torque transfer under extreme loads.
Individually riveted sintered pads ensure even surface pressure, clean torque transfer and a consistent pedal feel. In total, the RCS 200 7.8 combines the reserves of the larger 200 mm format with the staying power of thick sinter pads - the right choice for racers who must be consistently fast over distance.

Key advantages at a glance:
High transferable torque
High thermal load capacity
Large wear reserve
Highly dirt-resistant
Long service life

The Technology
Friction lining - sintered metal
The SACHS RCS 200 7.8 sintered‑metal clutch disc from ZF Motorsport is built for top performance in competition. Compared with organic discs it offers markedly higher thermal stability, higher rpm capability and strong resistance to dirt and oil.
The dedicated sintered friction material delivers an aggressive launch behaviour with hard bite and instant engagement off the line. At the same time it transfers significantly higher torque, making it ideal for powerful race cars.
As a core component of the modular SACHS RCS 200 system, it is perfectly matched to motorsport use - from rally and autocross to 1/4 mile.
SACHS RCS hub
SACHS RCS 200 7.8 motorsport discs are available with multiple hub spline profiles precisely matched to the respective gearbox input shaft. The result is maximum fit, reliable torque transfer and durability under racing conditions.
Hubs are offered in several lengths (short, medium, long) to suit the available installation space and ensure correct actuation. The modular RCS 200 concept enables a tailored low‑inertia, high‑performance clutch with outstanding thermal robustness and service life.
Quality Made in Germany
ZF Race Engineering has been among the technology leaders in motorsport for years. The combined know-how from top-level racing flows directly into the development of RCS racing clutches. State-of-the-art manufacturing methods, the highest quality standards and motorsport technologies make ZF Motorsport clutches the first choice for maximum performance and reliability - on circuits as well as in rallying, touring and endurance racing.
