Clutch Shim Kit 003074000356
Shim kit for SACHS carbon clutch RCC 140
Consistent performance across service intervals: the ZF Motorsport SACHS RCC 140 shim kit 003074000356 compensates wear of the carbon clutch pack and restores the diaphragm spring’s original kinematics. The torque capacity of the 140 mm carbon racing clutch remains stable – with a clean pedal feel and repeatable clamp load.
Shim kit contents: 11 pressure rings in fine steps (0.25 mm increments) for precise service setups.
Maximum wear compensation: up to 4.00 mm (via suitable single rings as per table).

Key benefits
Complete kit for maximum wear compensation
Maximum service life of the carbon stack
Stable torque capacity over the entire duty cycle
Fine-step adjustment of installation height
Top manufacturing quality
Service-friendly, repeatable setups

Technology
Shim kit RCC 140
Function: targeted compensation of carbon-stack wear by adjusting the fulcrum/clamp dimension at the clutch base plate. If the permissible wear is exceeded, torque capacity drops rapidly (slip, heat build-up, excessive release travel). The pressure rings included in the shim kit precisely reset the installation height and restore the original kinematics.
Steps: 0.25 mm increments for exact restoration of installation height.
Shim kit: 11 rings in the set; wear compensation up to 4.00 mm via suitable single rings (see table).
Material: high-strength tempered steel, black-oxidized, for improved temperature and load-cycle resistance.
Quality standard: manufactured to ZF Motorsport specification; tight run-out and thickness tolerances.
Practice / installation notes
Measure stack height: determine the carbon pack (friction and intermediate plates) per series spec; follow the defined measurement points.
Target/actual comparison: use the RCC 140 wear table; the difference defines the required pressure-ring step.
Ring selection: choose the SACHS RCC 140 pressure ring that keeps installation height within the target range; avoid over-compensation.
Observe the wear limit. If exceeded, replace the carbon pack – a ring change alone is not sufficient.
