Designed to make a
difference

ZF Race Engineering's SACHS motorsport clutches have stood for top-tier quality in international racing for decades. The ambition: continuous improvement and the drive to keep pushing the limits. From the lightest clutch used in Formula 1 to proven twin-plate and multi-plate systems in WRC, DTM, NASCAR, Le Mans and the Dakar Rally - ZF Motorsport technology is a core component of many winning cars worldwide.

Clutch disc
SACHS RCS 200 2.6

Sintered metal 2.6 mm, rigid design

SACHS RCS 200 2.6 sintered clutch disc - maximum snap with a large diameter. At 200 mm and only 2.6 mm lining thickness, it blends high torque capacity with very low rotating mass. The result: ultra-fast response, a crisp bite point and lightning-quick engagement - ideal for high-power touring cars, GT and rally applications where launch and reaction time matter.

The friction lining is directly sintered onto the carrier plate. This stiff construction delivers a very direct pedal feel and clean power transfer. Versus 7.8 mm pad variants, the 2.6 mm version is markedly lighter and more agile, trading some wear thickness and thermal reserve by design - perfect for sprints, qualifying and short load windows. The larger 200 mm diameter compensates part of the thermal demand with more friction area and better heat dissipation.

In diameter terms, RCS 200 offers more torque capacity and thermal headroom than RCS 140 and RCS 184 - while keeping inertia low thanks to the 2.6 mm lining. Compared with RCS 184 it runs slightly calmer but with higher reserves; compared with RCS 140 it adds durability yet stays far more agile than thicker 7.8 mm setups.

Technology

Friction lining - sintered metal

The SACHS RCS 200 2.6 sintered-metal clutch disc by ZF Motorsport is the go-to choice for peak racing performance. Compared with organic discs it withstands heat far better, tolerates higher rpm and is less sensitive to dirt and oil.

Its specific sintered friction material delivers an immediate response with a hard launch and snap engagement off the line. At the same time, clearly higher torque capacity makes it ideal for powerful race cars.

As a core component of the modular SACHS RCS 200 clutch system, it is perfectly matched to circuit racing from touring cars to rally stages.

SACHS RCS hub

SACHS RCS 200 2.6 clutch discs are offered with different hub splines matched precisely to the gearbox input shaft. This ensures perfect fit, reliable torque transfer and maximum durability in hard racing use.

Multiple hub lengths (extra-short, short, medium, long) are available to suit the available space and correct release geometry. The modular RCS 200 system from ZF Motorsport enables a tailored racing clutch with low inertia as well as maximum performance and service life.

Quality Made in Germany

ZF Race Engineering has been among the technology leaders in motorsport for years. The combined know-how from top-level racing flows directly into the development of RCS racing clutches. State-of-the-art manufacturing methods, the highest quality standards and motorsport technologies make ZF Motorsport clutches the first choice for maximum performance and reliability - on circuits as well as in rallying, touring and endurance racing.
