Sintered metal 5.2 mm, rigid hub
The SACHS RCS 140 5.2 sintered clutch disc is engineered for extreme heat resistance and wear life. With a compact 140 mm diameter and 5.2 mm pad thickness, it delivers high torque capacity with low mass - ideal for rally, circuit racing and disciplines with repeated race starts.
Unlike 2.6 mm and 3.4 mm RCS discs, the friction is provided by separate sinter pads riveted to the carrier (paddle style) rather than a thin overlay. This design adds wear reserve, increases thermal capacity and keeps friction levels consistent under back-to-back launches.
Compared with a 7.8 mm pad disc, the 5.2 mm version keeps moment of inertia lower for faster response. It also enables triple-plate packages (RCS 3/140 5.2) for extreme transmissible torque in a very compact stack.
The high-temperature sintered friction material maintains bite and stable μ for confident launches and precise modulation. In rigid-hub form the clutch engages directly for aggressive starts and razor-sharp shifts - built for uncompromising motorsport performance.

Friction material - sintered metal
The SACHS RCS 140 5.2 sintered clutch disc from ZF Motorsport is a racing-grade choice for maximum durability. Versus organic linings it withstands higher temperatures and rpm and is far less sensitive to dirt or oil.
The sintered pads deliver a strong initial bite with quick, positive engagement off the line. At the same time the disc transfers significantly higher torque, suiting high-output race cars.
As a core element of the modular SACHS RCS 140 clutch system, it is calibrated for motorsport - from rally to autocross to circuit racing.
SACHS RCS hub
RCS 140 5.2 discs are available with multiple spline profiles precisely matched to the gearbox input shaft for maximum fit quality and torque transfer in racing use.
Hubs are offered in various lengths (extra short, short, medium, long) to suit packaging and release geometry. The modular RCS 140 concept enables a tailored, low-inertia motorsport clutch with maximum performance and durability.
