Shim kit RCC 140
Function: targeted compensation of carbon-stack wear by adjusting the fulcrum/clamp dimension at the clutch base plate. If the permissible wear limit is exceeded, torque capacity drops quickly (slip, heat build-up, excessive release travel). The pressure rings in the shim kit precisely reset installation height and restore the original kinematics.
Steps: 0.25 mm increments for exact restoration of installation height.
Kit: 14 rings; wear compensation up to 5.00 mm (see tables).
Material: high-strength tempered steel, burnished, for increased temperature and load-cycle resistance.

Practice / installation notes
Measure stack height: determine the carbon pack (friction and intermediate plates) per series spec.
Target/actual check: use the SACHS RCC 140 wear table; the difference defines the required pressure-ring step.
Ring selection: choose the SACHS RCC 140 pressure ring to keep installation height within the nominal range; avoid over-compensation.
Observe the permissible wear limit. If exceeded, replace the carbon pack—ring change alone is not sufficient.
