Organic, torsion-damped
Clutch discs are subject to high loads and are complex components with a compact design. In addition to torque transmission, they fulfil additional tasks such as torsional vibration damping, good operating comfort and high heat resistance. Clutch discs with torsion springs function as a vibration damper between engine and gearbox.

The Technology
Organic Clutch Friction Material
The SACHS Performance clutch disc 881861.000044 with organic performance friction material has a higher thermal load capacity, is more resistant to high speeds and has a higher coefficient of friction than conventional organic clutch friction materials. Higher torques can also be transmitted. That makes it extremely useful for all kind of street tuning and for vehicles that are often driven with their maximum gross vehicle weight. Combined with the SACHS Performance clutch pressure plate, the result is an ideal clutch for higher demands and the sporty, ambitious driver. You´ll experience the perfect combination between suitability for daily use and great drive experience.
Torsion damper
SACHS Performance sprung clutch discs are equipped with stronger torsion dampers in order to be able to transmit a higher maximum engine torque. The torsion-damped SACHS Performance clutch disc 881861.000044 dampens engine vibration and protects your vehicle's transmission thanks to its reinforced damper design. SACHS torsional dampers are individually adapted to the special characteristics of each engine and vehicle combination. This damping system consists of a friction device and a set of springs for driving and idling operation. The coil springs allow limited rotation between the crankshaft and the transmission input shaft.
Clutch Cushion Spring
The cushion spring improves starting comfort and ensures that the clutch friction material are evenly supported. Cushion springs are corrugated spring plate segments with a spring travel of up to approx. 1 mm, which are riveted to the clutch disc carrier plate on the transmission side. In the case of high-performance SACHS Performance clutch discs, this cushion spring is sometimes omitted in favour of a higher transmittable torque compared to the standard clutch disc.
