Designed to make a
difference

The philosophy and key to the success of ZF SACHS Race Engineering has been the constant search for improvement and the willingness to push the boundaries of what is possible. The precise engineering and quality has resulted in SACHS Performance clutches and suspensions becoming an integral part of the world's most successful race cars.

Clutch Disc
SACHS Racing

Sintered metal, rigid

Sinter-Pad clutch discs are subjected to very high loads and are complex components with a compact design. In addition to torque transmission, they fulfil additional tasks such as torsional vibration damping and extremely high heat resistance. Rigid clutch discs have fewer components than the sprung version and are less susceptible to faults in limit ranges while at the same time offering higher torque transmission capacities.

Clutch Disc SACHS Racing | 999943 - 881864.999943

Advantages:

Higher transmittable torque compared to organic friction material.

Higher thermal capacity compared to organic friction material.

Higher burst number of revolutions

Lightweight and therefore lower mass and inertia

Very dirt resistant

Aggressive start performance

Effortless 1:1 exchange with OE clutch disc

The Technology

Clutch disc - sintered metal

The SACHS Racing SinterPad clutch disc 881864.999943 has a higher thermal load capacity and higher rpm resistance than organic standard clutch discs and is particularly resistant to dirt and oil. It enables harder starting, i.e. abrupt clutch engagement and significantly higher torques can be transmitted. Combined with the SACHS Performance clutch pressure plate, the result is an ideal clutch for motorsport use and for extremely performance-enhanced vehicles. - Benefit from the highest quality coupled with in-depth motorsport expertise.

Clutch Cushion Spring

The cushion spring improves starting comfort and ensures that the clutch friction material are evenly supported. Cushion springs are corrugated spring plate segments with a spring travel of up to approx. 1 mm, which are riveted to the clutch disc carrier plate on the transmission side. In the case of high-performance SACHS Performance clutch discs, this cushion spring is sometimes omitted in favour of a higher transmittable torque compared to the standard clutch disc.

Quality "Made in Germany"

The clutch systems from ZF Race Engineering have brought motor sports teams worldwide to the forefront, from mass sports to Formula 1.

The knowledge gained from these race series has been flowing into the development of High Performance products for years.
