The Ford Mondeo replaced the Sierra in 1993 and was the European mid-size benchmark for nearly three decades before production ended in 2022. The 2.5-litre engine offered comfortable power delivery in the Mondeo, positioned as the premium petrol option below the sporting ST variant. Developed by Ford of Europe in Cologne, the Mondeo defined the mid-size class with its combination of space, safety, and surprisingly dynamic handling for its class.
