SACHS RCS Release Rings
Since racing clutches are not vehicle-specific, the SACHS RCS clutch from ZF Motorsport must be adapted to fit within the available installation space of each vehicle.
To adjust the axial position of the release bearing / slave cylinder, so-called “release rings” can be mounted onto the RCS 140 clutch diaphragm spring. Release rings are available in various heights (5–15 mm).
Installation Instructions
If a release ring is used, a standard release bearing with a flat contact surface can be employed. Standard release bearings usually have flat contact surfaces. Therefore, when using a standard bearing with flat contact surface, a release ring should always be installed.
The listed release rings are only suitable for RCS 140 clutch housings with two diaphragm springs and a diaphragm spring contact diameter of Ø 49 mm.
