The BMW Z8 (E52) was produced from 2000 to 2003 in only approximately 5,703 units and designed by Henrik Fisker as an homage to the legendary 1956 BMW 507. The S62 4.9-litre V8 producing 400 PS came directly from the BMW M5 E39 and powered the Z8 through an aluminium space frame chassis that delivered exceptional rigidity at minimal weight. The Z8 gained additional fame through its appearance in the James Bond film 'The World Is Not Enough' (1999) — although it was sawn in half on screen, real-world market values have been rising steadily ever since.
