The Audi 100 C3 set new aerodynamic standards in 1982 with a record drag coefficient of Cd 0.30 and became the first Audi model with a fully galvanized body in 1985. The 200 20V Turbo quattro with 220 PS was the absolute pinnacle of the range and shared its engine architecture with the 200 quattro Trans-Am race car that won the 1988 Trans-Am championship with 510 bhp.
