The Giulia (952) has stood for Alfa Romeo's return to rear-wheel drive since 2015, deliberately referencing the legendary 1960s Giulia with its name. The Quadrifoglio version produces 375 kW (510 PS) from a 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 developed by Ferrari in Maranello and set a saloon car lap record at the Nürburgring Nordschleife in 2016 with a time of 7:32 minutes. The Giorgio platform was developed as a dedicated Alfa Romeo architecture focused on lightweight construction and a low centre of gravity — with a weight distribution of nearly 50:50 between front and rear axles.
