The Audi A3 8P introduced the Sportback as a five-door variant on the PQ35 platform in 2004 and offered a Cabriolet in the A3 range for the first time. FSI direct injection in the A3 8P marked a technology leap in the compact class, improving both performance and consumption compared to conventional injection systems.
