With its record drag coefficient of Cd 0.30 at launch in 1982 and the first fully galvanized Audi body from 1985, the 100 C3 was a technical milestone. The 2.3-litre five-cylinder quattro with 136 PS combined the classic Audi five-cylinder sound with the security of permanent all-wheel drive. The flush-mounted windows of the C3 were an industry innovation and contributed to the lowest drag coefficient of any production sedan.
