The BMW 5 Series F10/F11 (2010–2016) offered a more conservative design after the polarising E60, with aluminium lightweight construction and cutting-edge technology. The 530d with the N57 3.0-litre inline-six diesel and up to 210 kW offered the ideal balance of performance and efficiency for demanding long-distance drivers. The diesel variants benefited from BMW's EfficientDynamics strategy, offering outstanding efficiency with full driving comfort.
