The 2.2-litre 20V turbo with 220 PS was the final and most refined evolution of the Ur-Quattro, incorporating the entire experience from ten years of rally development. The Quattro won the WRC Manufacturers' titles in 1982 and 1984, Drivers' titles through Hannu Mikkola in 1983 and Stig Blomqvist in 1984 — changing all-wheel-drive technology forever.
