The BMW Z3 was manufactured from 1995 to 2002 in Spartanburg as the first BMW from US production and gained worldwide recognition through 'GoldenEye'. This engine variant offered a direct and pure driving experience in the lightweight Z3 — typical of BMW's roadster philosophy. With its classic roadster silhouette and iconic side vents, the Z3 defined the image of the affordable BMW sports car of the 1990s.
