The Audi A4 B7 from 2004, as an evolution of the B6, expanded the V6 diesel offering with new TDI engines featuring common-rail technology. The new 2.7-litre V6 TDI with 120-132 kW replaced the outgoing 2.5 TDI, offering significantly more refined power delivery with common-rail technology. Meanwhile, the RS4 B7 proved with its 420 PS naturally aspirated V8 that even in the turbo era, a high-revving NA engine had its place in performance motoring.
