With its Peter Schreyer-designed styling, the Audi A6 C5 set new accents in the executive class from 1997, offering a wide engine range from efficient to high-performance. The 2.7-litre V6 biturbo with up to 250 PS was the heart of the sporty C5 models and shared its basic construction with the legendary RS6 engine. The biturbo V6 shared its basic architecture with the legendary RS6 C5, whose 4.2-litre V8 biturbo produced 450 PS and defined the fastest production Audi of its time.
