The Audi 80 B4 made automotive history in 1991 as a pioneer of fully galvanized bodywork with a 12-year anti-corrosion warranty. The RS2 Avant was the very first RS model from Audi and was developed in collaboration with Porsche in Zuffenhausen — featuring Porsche brakes, door mirrors from the 911 (964), and a production run limited to approximately 2,891 units. The combination of advanced safety technology such as the Procon-ten system and permanent quattro all-wheel drive with Torsen centre differential made the B4 a milestone in the mid-size segment.
