Flywheel LUK 415001610

The Flywheel LUK 415001610 transmits engine torque to the clutch pressure plate and clutch disc and reduces the torsional irregularities introduced into the drivetrain.
In modern engines, higher torque, increased peak cylinder pressures and stricter emissions regulations lead to stronger rotational irregularities and thus higher vibration excitation of the drivetrain. Rising demands for comfort and smoothness, as well as measures to protect the gearbox, require extremely capable torsional dampers.
The DMF 415.0016.10 impresses with its modular compression spring pack designed to solve various torsional vibration issues in your vehicle. Complemented by a speed-adaptive absorber, the torsional vibration caused by the combustion engine is excellently isolated.

Advantages
Reduced fuel consumption thanks to lower idle speeds and trouble-free driving at low rpm
High shift comfort because the shift force is lower due to the reduced moment of inertia of the clutch disc without a torsional damper
Excellent driving comfort thanks to strong vibration damping during load change jerk
Low noise levels due to optimal vibration decoupling across the entire speed range
Trouble-free start-stop behavior
Long service life

The Technology
The flywheel is installed between engine and transmission in the drivetrain, with manual gearboxes together with the clutch pressure plate and clutch disc. The primary side of the flywheel is rigidly flanged to the crankshaft and carries the starter ring gear. Primary and secondary sides are mounted to allow relative rotation. The modular spring pack enables flexible and optimal characteristic curve design.
All flywheels feature a multi-stage rotational characteristic. Compression springs with different stiffness and quantity are combined for this purpose. The first stage with soft springs ensures excellent engine start and stop behavior. The subsequent stiffer stages achieve outstanding torsional vibration decoupling and overload protection during driving.
